This restaurant is delicious! My family and I have been going there for years. It's such a pretty restaurant they've done a great job modernizing the look and feel. They have beautiful lights and a nice table set up so you don't feel that you're on top of other people.
First of all the bread is amazing. I could eat a whole basket of it and want more it's so delicious! And they give you infused boil that I think a little pepper and salt is the best combination ever. Again I love this bread so much I wanna marry it. Haha
When we went this most recent time my parents and I each got a lamb dish. Dad got lamb shish kebab mom got lamb Gyro. And I forget what my dish was called, but it was lamb Gyro meat with a tomato sauce seasoning on top it was over toasted bread with creamy plain yogurt on the side. AMAZING! Even though it was a huge portion, I ate the whole thing because it was that good. I left so full but so happy.
Everyone should come here!! -

I'm giving it 2 stars because I felt the food was ok and it was a good deal for the price.
This is really not a restaurant. It's a deli with a few tables - less than 20 seats. They do have a menu and someone did take our orders and deliver our food to the table. But there was no one else eating there on the Saturday afternoon when we arrived.
I tried it because it had been on an episode of Restaurant Hunter but I wish I hadn't. Nothing about this restaurant screamed try me. From pulling up out front and seeing the black greasy stain on the sidewalk that someone should have cleaned up after putting out garbage to the overall look of the building including the boarded window upstairs. The interior was not dirty but it was not overly clean either.
I had a chicken kabob platter. The meat was well spiced and cooked but the rice was mushy. I also had a falafel appetizer which was initially quite good. But as they sat, they got dryer and pastier. There were 5 small falafel, a small salad, and a spoonful of humus. Even so, was definitely the highlight of the meal.
Mediterranean food is very popular right now and there are restaurants all over. I will definitely try another one and not go back here. -

We have been coming to this little gem tucked away in West Hempstead part of LI for many years. The food is delicious and the portions are sufficient. Their bread is to die for. Don't hesitate to ask for more bread with your lentil soup--heaven!
When ordering platters, we ask them for grilled jalapeños, onions and tomatoes.
Our go to platters are the lamb shish, chicken Shish, iskandar kebob, lentil soup and the mixed appetizer.
The customer service is very friendly from the chef to the server.
They also have Turkish soft drinks and a little grocery in the back with Turkish items.
The food is made on order. Hence; the wait.
Of course, our gastronome kids love this little restaurant! -
